Press Release 2.1.2010

The James Group Launches the M6, a Revolutionary New Bicycle Merchandising System.

On March 1, The James Group, Inc. will launch a revolutionary new point of sale merchandising system for bicycles and after market products called the M6. The patent pending M6 is designed to increase bike and after market product sales by putting bikes and targeted after market product together on one dynamic, high visibility, high profit display.

The M6 takes advantage of the unused space above a typical merchandiser by displaying 6 easily accessible bikes over the merchandise. Bicycles pivot down and out from the display with the assistance of the heavy duty automotive gas spring that is guaranteed for thousands of smooth cycles. See the M6 in action at http://www.jamesgroupdisplays.com.

Dick Moran, former marketing director at Trek Bikes is impressed: "The innovative and accessible use of the vertical space above an accessory display is perfect for maximizing the profitability of a stores square footage, and to get extra bikes on the floor during peak season." He adds, " Store owners should seriously evaluate a complete floor redesign based on the use of the M6 as their display choice."

The M6 key features include:

  • Easy to use.
  • Displays and stores 6 bikes (3 each side) above 2 sides of merchandising area.
  • Perfect for "boutique" style merchandising with over 38 square feet of merchandising area squeezed into a 60" x 48" footprint.
  • Easy touch pneumatic arm raises and lowers the bikes with little effort or risk to the bike, store staff or customers.
  • Made in the USA by skilled craftsmen.
  • Overall M6 size is 60" wide x 48" deep x 129" tall.

The M6 earns excellent reviews on the floor. Matt Laughlin, store manager at Wheel & Sprocket in Brookfield WI, says "The M6 is a well engineered product. We like the display because it simply looks great and saves on floor space. It's easy to load and lower bikes for viewing. Customers frequently express a sense of wow when they see bikes displayed with great care and aesthetic attention. The M6 beats pulling bikes down from overhead storage hooks with a barge pole hands down!
